Dear DRBS Families,

As we head into another week at Dr. Roberta Bondar School, we would like to share some important dates and activities coming up.

Secret Path Week – October 19–23

Next week, DRBS will be recognizing Secret Path Week, a time to reflect on the importance of truth and reconciliation and honour the stories and experiences of Indigenous Peoples, particularly those impacted by residential schools.

Throughout the week, students will engage in age-appropriate learning, conversations, and reflection about kindness, empathy, belonging, and reconciliation.

On Thursday, we will come together for our Walk for Wenjack, an opportunity to honour Chanie Wenjack and reflect on how each of us can contribute to a more caring, inclusive, and respectful community.

A Message of Thanks

Thank you to our families for your continued support and partnership. As we recognize Secret Path Week, we encourage you to continue conversations at home about the importance of listening to others' stories, showing compassion, and learning from our shared history.

We appreciate the many ways our families contribute to making DRBS a welcoming, caring, and inclusive school community.

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!

Warm regards,

Evelyne Lamontagne, Principal
