School Council News

Apparel Store - Pink Shirt Day is coming up on February 28, to raise awareness against bullying. If you are planning to participate and need a pink shirt, consider purchasing one from our DRBS apparel store. Pink shirts will be available in the store starting this weekend. The last date to order will be 8th February by 11:59pm.

Purdy’s Fundraiser - We are excited to announce that Purdys fundraiser is now active for the 2024 Spring Season.  Last year the fundraiser raised over $800 towards school activities.  Up to 25% of every order will go back to the school for school events.

 

All you have to do is follow these steps:

1. Go to https://fundraising.purdys.com/join.aspx/646739-115399

2. Enter your email address & JOIN A CAMPAIGN.  You will then be directed to the Dr. Roberta Bondar School page.

3. Place your order online. **Please ensure to add a cell phone number and email address to allow contact to be made for pick up**

4. Pick up date/location to be determined, sometime around March 18, 2024 either in the school or local community.

ALL ORDERS MUST BE SUBMITTED NO LATER THAN SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2024

Fun Lunch Order Deadline - The next fun lunch is Boston Pizza on Feb 6, and the deadline for ordering is 11:59pm on Thursday Feb 1. Contact Karen at drbsfunlunch@gmail.com with any questions. 

 

Call for Agenda Items - Our next School Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 13 at 6:45pm. In following with our consent agenda format, please send any agenda requests to DRBSCouncilChair@gmail.com and we will attempt to include as many items as possible within the time allotted for the meeting. Please have your agenda items submitted by the end of day Sunday February 4 so we can finalize and distribute the agenda to the school community.
