Dear DRBS Families,
We hope you have all had a good week!
With the arrival of spring, our playground is seeing a mix of melting snow and wet conditions. Students are enjoying being outdoors, but are often getting quite wet while playing. We kindly ask that families consider sending an extra set of clothes in your child’s backpack (including socks) to help keep them comfortable throughout the day.
We would also like to remind families of our “phones away for the day” expectation. Personal devices should remain out of sight during the school day to support focused learning and positive social interactions. If a student repeatedly uses their phone during school hours, the device will be kept in the office and a parent/guardian will be required to retrieve it.
We have a number of exciting learning opportunities and events coming up over the next few weeks that continue to support our commitment to Inquire, Innovate, Inspire, Imagine:
Upcoming Dates:
- April 21 – Paul Davey Presentation
- April 21 – School Council Meeting
- April 22 – Grade 5 Teacher’s Pet Workshop
- April 27 – Grade 3 Artist in Residence
- April 27 – Fred Fox Presentation
- April 27 – May 1 – Grade 1 Bakshi Open Minds School
- April 30 – Fun Lunch
These experiences enrich student learning, build connections, and bring our school community together in meaningful ways.
As always, thank you for your continued support of our school. We look forward to another wonderful week of learning at DRBS.
Warm regards,
Evelyne Lamontagne
