Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we reach the end of another wonderful school year at Dr. Roberta Bondar School, I want to take a moment to reflect on the many special experiences we’ve shared and to thank you for your ongoing support.

This year was filled with energy and enthusiasm—from our creative spirit days that brought joy and colour to our school, to the memorable winter concerts where students showcased their incredible talents. Our field trips and residencies offered rich, hands-on learning experiences that helped bring the curriculum to life and sparked curiosity in new ways.

None of these opportunities would be possible without the generous support of our amazing volunteers. Whether helping in classrooms, supervising trips, or cheering on students during Sports Day, your time and dedication have made a meaningful difference in our school community.

We are also deeply grateful to our School Council, whose ongoing commitment and collaboration have helped strengthen the connection between home and school. From supporting initiatives and events to offering valuable feedback and ideas, their work has had a lasting impact on our students' experiences.

As the year ends, we want to recognize some important transitions. Congratulations to Mrs. Roberts on her well-earned retirement—we are grateful for her many years of service and dedication to students. We also bid a fond farewell to Mr. Vanderlinden and Mr. Rosewarn, who will be moving on to new positions within the system. We thank them for their contributions to our school and wish them continued success. At the same time, we are excited to welcome Ms. Borne and Mr. Hughes, who will be joining our staff in the fall. We look forward to the new energy and ideas they will bring to our school community.

Thank you for the partnership, encouragement, and care you’ve shown all year long. We are so grateful to work alongside such a thoughtful and engaged group of families.

We wish you a restful and fun-filled summer. We look forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, for the first day of the new school year.

Warmest regards,
Evelyn J. Lamontagne
